 SPECIAL EDUCATION ADVISORY PANEL WANTS TO HEAR FROM US!

Come to Montgomery on Thursday, June 7th, to share your thoughts, compliments, and concerns with Alabama’s Special Education Advisory Panel (SEAP).  We, the public, are allowed a full hour (from 11 a.m. to noon) to share our thoughts with the panel.

 If you are unable to attend but would like to view the meeting’s proceedings, you can request internet access to the meeting by contacting Susan Williamson at the ALSDE at swilliamson@alsde.edu.  Don’t wait till the last minute to request access, as you wouldn’t want technical issues to keep you from participating!

PUBLIC MEETING ANNOUNCED FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION


Montgomery, AL – The Special Education Advisory Panel (SEAP) and the Alabama Department of Education encourage the public to attend their upcoming meeting and offer input regarding special education services. Participation by concerned citizens at this meeting provides an opportunity to identify issues and unmet needs relative to educational services for children with disabilities throughout the state.


WHEN: June 7, 2012
The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end no later than Noon on the same day. Comments from the public will be received from 11-12 p.m. (Noon) on June 7.

Montgomery, Alabama 36104


TOPIC: The SEAP will review current issues pertaining to services for students with disabilities, and receive an update of recent Special Education Services activities.


Alternative participation will be available through WebEx. A request for access information in order to listen to the proceedings via computer, and if desired, to offer any comments during the scheduled public comment time period of 11-12:00 p.m. (Noon) should be made by e-mail to Ms. Susan Williamson swilliamson@alsde.edu.

  • Legal Trends and Issues in Special Education
